Ajeer is a Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) service that authorizes one establishment to temporarily and legally engage a worker whose Iqama is sponsored by a different employer. It is used mainly in contracting and project work where labour needs to move between sites or companies for a limited time.
Ajeer creates a documented, time-bound permission so the host establishment is not treated as employing the worker illegally, while the original sponsor remains the legal kafeel. The arrangement is requested and tracked electronically through the labour platforms, and it does not change the worker's underlying sponsorship or profession.
Because terms and eligibility are set by the ministry and can change, the exact fees, durations, and qualifying activities should be confirmed on the official platform before relying on them.
