Ejari (Arabic for 'my rent') is the Dubai Land Department system that registers and legally records tenancy contracts in Dubai. Registration produces an Ejari certificate with a unique number that landlords and tenants need for many downstream steps.
A registered Ejari is commonly required to connect DEWA utilities, sponsor family members on a residence visa, obtain a trade licence at a leased premises, and bring or defend a rental dispute at the Rental Dispute Centre. Registration can be done online through the Dubai REST app or at approved typing centres.
