The Short Answer
After an SVP (Takamol) test there are three different things to check, on three different screens, and mixing them up is how people end up paying an agent to "find" a result that was there all along:
| What you want | Where | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Your own result and certificate | Your account dashboard on svp-international.qiwa.sa | Your login |
| Anyone's pass, fail or pending result | Applicant Result Verification: svp-international.qiwa.sa/applicant-result | Passport number, nationality, occupation |
| Whether a certificate is genuine and in date | Certificate Validity Verification: svp-international.qiwa.sa/check-certificate | Passport number and certificate serial number |
The result usually appears at once and sometimes takes up to five days (PACC FAQ, pacc.sa, checked 5 November 2026). The certificate lasts two years for a computer-only test or RPL and five years if the test included a practical. The embassy and the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs read it electronically; you do not courier a paper copy anywhere.
If you passed and the certificate is not reaching your visa, the official fix is in the embassy section below. If you did not pass, the attempt rules and what they do to the visa are in the guide to failing the SVP test.
First, Make Sure You Are on the Right Site
The SVP has moved addresses twice and the old ones still work as redirects, which is exactly the confusion lookalike sites live on.
| Address | What it is now | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| svp-international.qiwa.sa | The live SVP International portal | Booking, results, certificates, verification |
| svp-international.pacc.sa | Old address; redirects to the one above | Nothing new - bookmarks only |
| pacc.sa | The Professional Accreditation Center site (pacc.qiwa.sa now redirects here) | The current FAQ and the occupation search |
| pacc.sa/CertificateVerification | Checks test centres' accreditation certificates | Not for workers - it does not check your SVP certificate |
| svp-local.pacc.sa | SVP Local, for tests booked inside Saudi Arabia | In-Kingdom results, by iqama number |
| svp-internationalpaccsa.com | Not official (no dot before "pacc") | Nothing |
Two traps sit in that table. The page called "Certificate Verification" on pacc.sa is for test-centre accreditation, not worker certificates, and it is the one that comes up first in many searches. And the FAQ served inside the SVP International portal is out of date - it still says USD 50, unlimited attempts and five years for everyone. The current FAQ is the one on pacc.sa's Knowledge Centre, and that is the one this guide quotes.
Checking a Result: The Applicant Result Verification Page
From the portal's home page, choose "Check certificate & exam result", then "Check labor result". The page asks for three things, and none of them is a password:
- Passport number - the number, not the passport's serial or file number.
- Nationality, from the dropdown.
- Occupation, from the dropdown - the exact occupation you were tested in.
It shows the name, passport, occupation and test date, with a status: passed, failed or pending. For an RPL request it shows the submission date instead of a test date.
Because no login is needed, a recruiter or employer can check your result with the same three details - and you can check theirs. If nothing comes back, the usual reason is a different occupation in the dropdown from the one you booked, or a passport number typed differently from the booking.
What Each Status Actually Means
The pacc.sa FAQ lists the statuses a booking can show. Only some of them are results:
| Status | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Reserved | Booked, not yet taken | Nothing - check the address on your ticket |
| Pending | Computer test done, practical still to be marked | Wait; it is not a result yet |
| Completed | The test is finished and marked | Look at the result: passed or failed |
| Canceled | The booking was cancelled | If you cancelled 72+ hours ahead, the fee became account credit |
| Withdrawn | Booking withdrawn | Check your account credit |
| Violated | Result cancelled for breaking the test rules | This is not a fail; it is more serious, and retake advice does not apply |
One more message is easy to misread. The dashboard can show a "Re-test Acknowledgment": you have been "credited with a free re-test as part of routine quality assurance", and the result is "released only after you complete the new appointment". That is not a fail and not a charge. Book the free appointment; your result is held until you sit it.
And if you passed the practical but failed the computer test, the whole test is failed - the FAQ says the two parts are complementary, and nothing is carried forward.
Downloading the Certificate
- Sign in at svp-international.qiwa.sa.
- Open your Account Dashboard and the booking for the test you passed.
- Press "Download certificate". The button only appears after a pass - the FAQ says "the certificate will appear only if you have successfully passed the test".
- Save the PDF. Its file name follows the pattern full name_occupation_Certificate_certificate number, which is a quick way to read your certificate number without opening it.
Print a copy and keep the PDF. You will need the certificate number for the verification page and for any support request. If the button is missing after a pass, wait the five days the FAQ allows before assuming something is wrong; results are "usually available within 24 hours, some results may take up to 5 days".
Verifying a Certificate: What the Check Shows
The Certificate Validity Verification page needs two things: the passport number and the certificate serial number. One without the other returns nothing - the system's own message is "Passport number and certificate serial number can't be blank".
A match shows the applicant's name, certificate number, passport number, occupation, issue date, expiry date and one of three statuses: valid, invalid or expired. No match shows "No results are found for the entered combination".
The page also accepts the two numbers in a link, which suggests a QR code or link on the certificate opens it pre-filled. We could not see a certificate to confirm that, so type the numbers yourself if a QR code takes you anywhere other than svp-international.qiwa.sa.
Who should run this check:
- You, the day you download it - a typo in your passport number shows up here before it shows up at the embassy.
- Anyone handed a certificate by an agent. If it does not verify, it does not exist as far as the embassy is concerned, whatever it looks like on paper.
- Employers and recruiters, before relying on a candidate's certificate - it costs nothing and takes a minute.
How Long It Is Valid - and Why the Expiry Date Beats Any Rule
| Test type | Validity (pacc.sa FAQ) |
|---|---|
| Computer-based only | 2 years |
| Computer-based plus a practical | 5 years |
| RPL (document review) | 2 years |
| Online, remotely proctored | 2 years (portal country settings) |
Older sources and many agents still say five years for everyone. That is wrong for computer-only tests and RPL - except that the portal's own country settings, which we read on 5 November 2026, list five years for every type for Bangladesh, while India, Pakistan and Nepal show the 2/5 split. We cannot tell whether that is a deliberate Bangladesh rule or a configuration the FAQ does not mention.
The practical answer is the same either way: the expiry date on the verification page is the one that counts. Check it, diary it, and do not plan a visa, a renewal or a job change around a rule of thumb.
What happens at expiry is not published. We found no renewal process for workers - only for test centres. A 2024 Migrant-Rights.org report said accredited workers would have to retake the test after three to five years, which is consistent with the certificate simply lapsing, but no official page says what an expired certificate means for a worker already in the Kingdom. Inside Saudi Arabia, passing is a condition of issuing or renewing the work permit in a covered occupation, so an expired certificate is worth dealing with before the work permit renewal, not after.

What the Embassy, MOFA and Your Employer See
You do not send the certificate to the embassy. The booking screens say the occupation key "will be checked by the embassy" and that the occupation code "will be verified by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA)"; the certificate is matched to your passport and visa electronically when the visa is processed.
That is why the two unchangeable fields - passport number and occupation - matter so much. The match fails if:
- the passport on the visa application is not the passport you tested with (a renewed passport is the classic case);
- the occupation you tested in is not the occupation on the visa;
- the name or number was typed differently at booking.
Which Saudi system reads the certificate - Enjaz, Musaned or the visa centres - is not named on any official SVP page; only MOFA and the embassy are. Your employer sees the same thing anyone sees on the two public pages, plus, inside the Kingdom, whatever its SVP Local and Qiwa accounts show.
If You Passed but the Certificate Is Not Showing at the Embassy
This is the problem people pay agents to fix, and the official route is free. From the pacc.sa FAQ:
- Wait up to five days after the test. "The result is usually available within 24 hours, some results may take up to 5 days."
- Verify it yourself on the check-certificate page with your passport number and certificate serial. If it shows valid, the certificate exists; the problem is the match.
- Check the match: same passport, same occupation as the visa, same spelling.
- Contact SVP support - the chat on the site, @SaudiPACC on X or Facebook, or [email protected] - and send a copy of the certificate, the visa application and the passport.
- Once support confirms the data, the FAQ says: "if the data is verified by the team and there are no technical problems, please contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and try to use the service again."
If the occupation is wrong, the FAQ is blunt: it "cannot be changed if it is chosen incorrectly". The fix is on the visa side or a new test in the right occupation, not an edit to the certificate. If your passport was renewed after the test, raise it with support straight away with both passports; no published rule covers it, and we would not assume the new passport inherits the certificate automatically.
Checking a Result Inside Saudi Arabia (SVP Local)
If you tested inside the Kingdom - booked by your employer - the result lives on SVP Local, not SVP International. Its public "Enquire Test Taker's Result" page at svp-local.pacc.sa/enquire-result asks for the test type, the category and an ID number of ten digits starting with 1 or 2 - that is, an iqama or Saudi ID. The page can also be opened from a QR link, which suggests local certificates carry one.
The employer manages the booking, the payment (SAR 702.6 in the Kingdom) and any rebooking through its Qiwa-linked account. If your work permit renewal is held up for SVP reasons, the conversation is with your employer's HR, who can see the record. When the profession on your iqama and the trade you were verified in do not match, that is a separate correction - fixing a wrong profession on your iqama.
If the Result Says Failed
You have three attempts in total, paying the full fee each time - USD 85 abroad. There is no appeal route in any source we could read, and no partial pass carried forward. Before rebooking, check the status really is a fail and not pending, a free re-test or a violation (see the statuses above).
Then prepare differently, not just again. The SVP exam guide sets out the format, and the failed-attempts guide has the retake plan.
Preparing for a Retake or a Second Trade
No syllabus or question bank is published - the official FAQ says the test "is based on the general information for the test taker occupation" and that there are no resources to review. What you can practise is the format: multiple choice, on a computer, in the language you choose, against the clock, on the safety and method questions every trade paper leans on.
Start with the free SVP practice test - no sign-up, each question with its answer and the rule behind it, marked at the real 50%. If you already know your trade, go straight to the short sets for electricians, plumbers, HVAC/AC technicians or welders.
For timed practice at full length, the SVP practice bank has original questions for those four trades and timed mocks, for one payment. The questions are ours, written to general trade knowledge - not from Takamol, PACC or any "leaked" pool, because none exists. If you are retaking, time yourself: the real test runs up to 120 minutes and the questions vary between candidates.
For Recruiters and Employers Checking Candidates in Bulk
The two public pages are built for this. A short routine for every candidate file: run Applicant Result Verification with passport, nationality and occupation before the visa is filed; run Certificate Validity Verification with the passport and certificate serial; and record the expiry date next to the worker's work permit dates. Certificates that do not verify should never reach a visa application. For agencies preparing batches of candidates, exam prep for agencies and employers sets up practice access, and the Saudi work permit service covers the employer's filings.
What We Could Not Confirm
- Whether the certificate carries a QR code. The verification page accepts pre-filled links, which suggests one; we did not see a certificate.
- What happens at expiry. No worker renewal process is published; re-testing is the reported answer, from an NGO, not an official page.
- Bangladesh's five-year setting for every test type, which the official FAQ does not mention.
- Which Saudi visa system reads the certificate. Official pages name only MOFA and the embassy.
- What happens to a certificate after a passport renewal. No published rule.
- A response time for support. None is published.
Where to Go Next
Booking a test: from India, from Bangladesh or from Pakistan. All our exam guides are on the exams page.
Want the paperwork handled? Wathim cannot change an SVP result, and nobody honest can. What the desk does run is the paperwork the certificate feeds into: the Saudi work visa, attestation and the iqama after arrival. Brief the desk with your visa occupation and what the verification page shows, and we will tell you where the mismatch is.
Frequently Asked Questions
On svp-international.qiwa.sa choose Check certificate & exam result, then Check labor result, and enter your passport number, nationality and occupation. It shows passed, failed or pending. You can also see it on your account dashboard.
Sign in to svp-international.qiwa.sa, open your Account Dashboard and the booking, and press Download certificate. The button appears only after a pass.
Use the Certificate Validity Verification page at svp-international.qiwa.sa/check-certificate with the passport number and the certificate serial number. It shows the name, occupation, issue and expiry dates and whether the certificate is valid, invalid or expired.
Usually immediately, sometimes up to five days, according to the PACC FAQ on pacc.sa.
Two years for a computer-only test or RPL and five years if the test included a practical, per the pacc.sa FAQ. The portal's settings for Bangladesh show five years for every type, so rely on the expiry date the verification page shows.
Wait up to five days, verify the certificate yourself, check that the passport and occupation match the visa, then contact SVP support with copies of the certificate, visa application and passport. Once support confirms the data, contact MOFA and try again.
No. The FAQ says the occupation cannot be changed if it was chosen incorrectly. It must match the visa because MOFA checks the occupation code.
The computer test is finished but the practical is still to be marked. It is not a result yet.
No. That page checks test centres' accreditation certificates. Worker certificates are checked on svp-international.qiwa.sa/check-certificate.
On SVP Local's Enquire Test Taker's Result page at svp-local.pacc.sa, using the test type, category and your iqama number.
