Dependent Visa

A dependent visa is a residence permit that lets an eligible resident sponsor family members, such as a spouse and children, to live with them in a GCC country.

A dependent visa (often called a family visa) is the residence permit through which a qualifying resident sponsors close family members, typically a spouse and children, and in some cases parents, to live in a GCC country. The sponsor's eligibility usually depends on factors such as minimum salary, profession, and suitable accommodation.

Applications generally require attested civil-status documents, such as marriage and birth certificates, and may involve a medical fitness test for older dependents and proof of a tenancy contract. Conditions vary by country and emirate, including salary thresholds, which dependents are allowed, and the maximum age for sponsoring sons.

Because eligibility rules and required documents differ across the GCC and change over time, the current salary thresholds and document list should be confirmed with the relevant immigration authority before applying.
