Establishment Card

An establishment card is the UAE immigration card that registers a company with the immigration authorities and allows it to sponsor employees' entry permits and residence visas; it must be kept valid for visa processing to continue.

An establishment card (also called an immigration card) is the document that links a UAE company to the immigration system, allowing it to sponsor and process residence visas for its employees. It is distinct from the trade licence and the MOHRE labour establishment registration, though all are usually needed together.

The card must be renewed periodically. If it expires, the company generally cannot issue or renew employee visas through e-Channel or the immigration authorities until it is renewed, which can stall new hires and family visa applications.

Issuance and renewal are handled through the relevant immigration authority (ICP or, in Dubai, GDRFA) or the company's free-zone authority. Fees and validity periods vary, so confirm current details before renewal.
