Muqeem

Muqeem is the Saudi government online platform used mainly by employers and establishments to manage the residency affairs of their sponsored expatriate workers, including Iqama issuance, renewal, and exit and re-entry visas.

Muqeem (Arabic for 'resident') is an e-government platform operated under the Saudi Ministry of Interior that lets companies and sponsors handle the residency transactions of the expatriates they sponsor. Through it, an establishment can issue and renew Iqamas, request exit and re-entry or final exit visas, update passport details, and check the status of sponsored employees.

Muqeem is primarily a business-facing service, so most actions are initiated by the employer's authorized representative rather than the worker directly. Individual residents more often use Absher for their personal transactions, while many self-service steps now route through it and the Nafath identity service.

Because the platform handles sensitive status changes, fees and the exact list of available services can vary by establishment type and over time, so it is worth confirming the current options and any charges before relying on a specific transaction.
