Saudi Driving Theory Test Questions PDF

The right-of-way convention at Saudi intersections is inverted compared with most countries drivers come from, and it causes more failures than anything else.

Why this pack for Saudi Arabia

  • The intersection and roundabout priority rule is the single biggest cause of failure for expatriate candidates.
  • SAR 500 is charged again on a retest, plus a two-week wait and a ten-day booking lead.
  • Dallah's computer test format is covered, with sources cited where they conflict.

Three questions from the pack

Exactly as they appear. Answer one and see the reason. Every one of the 485 questions is written to this standard.

Q2

What must you do when you see this sign?

What the 485 questions cover

    Sign questions with a picture

The rest describe the sign in words. Read the note below.

The honest weak spot. The real test shows signs as pictures. This bank pictures 17 distinct signs, and its printable sheet carries those 17, not Moroor's full catalogue. If signs are your weak area, learn them from the official handbook as well; the rules, priority and penalties questions are where this pack is strongest.

Which language do you want it in?

The pack is the same questions in every language. Pick the one you want and that is the PDF you get.

General Department of Traffic (Moroor) sets the real paper in English. So this pack is in the language you will actually sit the test in.

What is inside

01

Exam briefing

What General Department of Traffic (Moroor) actually sets: question count, pass mark, time limit, languages and how booking works.

02

Road-sign reference sheet

The 17 signs pictured in the bank on one printable page, captions separated so you can test yourself. It is not the authority's full sign catalogue - see what the bank covers, below.

03

13 exam-length papers

Each paper is 35 questions, the real length, with a topic mix that matches the live paper rather than running all the signs first.

04

Marked answer key

The correct answer, why it is correct, and the rule it comes from - for every question, not a letter grid.

05

The questions people get wrong

The hardest items in the bank, marked and explained. The section to read the night before.

06

Topic revision bank

Everything not used in a paper, grouped by topic, answers marked - for fixing one weak area.

The Saudi computer test

The Saudi theory exam is taken on a computer at a Dallah or equivalent approved school rather than at a Moroor counter. We publish it as 35 questions with 26 needed to pass, a 75% pass mark, in 30 minutes - verified July 2026.

Be aware this is one of the most inconsistently reported tests in the region. Published figures elsewhere include 17 out of 20, 21 out of 30 and 22 out of 35 for the same exam. We are not going to pretend that is settled; we publish our figure, date it, and say plainly that you should confirm it on Absher or with your school.

Every figure on this page is dated and sourced. Where third-party sites disagree - and on these tests they disagree constantly - we say so rather than picking the number that suits us. Confirm against the authority before you pay.

Car, motorcycle or truck - why it is one pack and not three

The Saudi Driving Theory Test is mostly the same exam whoever you are. Of the 485 questions in this bank, 345 are the shared road-signs and rules material every candidate sits - signs, right of way, traffic rules, penalties and safety. Only 70 are motorcycle-specific and 70 are heavy-vehicle specific.

That is why we do not sell a motorcycle pack or a truck pack separately. A 70-question motorcycle-only product would leave you unprepared for the 345 questions that make up most of the paper you will actually sit, and selling you that would be taking your money for something designed to fail you.

One pack, all three tracks. If you are riding, the motorcycle paper is your supplement and the rest is your exam. If you are going for a truck or bus licence, the same applies in reverse.

What is in the Saudi pack

485 questions as printable papers with a separate answer section for each, sized to the exam so a paper is a rehearsal rather than a quiz. Light vehicle, motorcycle and truck-and-bus papers included, with an explanation on every answer.

Right of way carries more weight in the Saudi bank than in most of the region, and the explanations are written accordingly - the useful thing is not which car goes first but why, because the exam asks the same rule from several directions.

What a fail actually costs

Per attempt
Reported between SAR 115 and SAR 500 depending on what the figure includes
If you fail
The full fee again - no reduced retest rate has been reported. One source describes a waiting period of around two weeks before you can retake, and no source gives a firm limit on attempts; the number permitted and the gap between them are set by Moroor.
Source
drivingtestksa.com and autoviatest.com, October 2026
Where sources disagree
SAR 115 is quoted as the computer-test fee alone, SAR 200-400 as test plus licence, and SAR 500 as an application fee. These are not the same thing and are frequently presented as if they were.

These are original practice questions to help you revise. They are not the official Saudi exam and the real question bank, format, fees and pass mark are set by the General Department of Traffic (Moroor) and the driving schools, and can change. Always confirm the current requirements with your driving school or the traffic department.

Frequently asked

485 questions, every one with the correct answer, an explanation and the rule it comes from. They are arranged as 13 exam-length papers of 35 questions each, plus a topic-by-topic revision bank for everything left over.

No, and you should be wary of anyone who claims to sell one. General Department of Traffic (Moroor) does not publish its live bank. These are original practice questions written from the published traffic rules and the standard GCC road signs, which is how every legitimate practice resource works. The format, pass mark and fees are set by General Department of Traffic (Moroor) and can change - confirm before you book.

The practice tests at /driving-test/saudi are free, complete and stay that way. The pack is the offline version: one printable document with exam-length papers, a marked answer key you can read away from a screen, a road-sign sheet you can pin up, and a revision bank grouped by topic. If you revise on paper, or you want to work without data, that is what you are paying for.

26 of 35 correct, which is 75%. You get about 30 minutes. Every paper in the pack is marked against that same threshold, so a score in the pack means the same thing as a score in the test.

Pick the language on this page and that is the PDF you get: English, Arabic, Urdu. General Department of Traffic (Moroor) sets the written paper in English, Arabic, Urdu, so the pack is in the language you will actually sit the test in. The options available are set by General Department of Traffic (Moroor) and by your test centre - confirm when you book.

Card checkout is not live yet. Ask for the pack through the contact form or email info@wathim.com and we will send it to you directly, usually the same day. The price is AED 39.

We publish 35 questions with 26 needed to pass, a 75% pass mark, in 30 minutes, verified July 2026. Other sites give 17/20, 21/30 and 22/35 for the same exam. That disagreement is real and we are not going to paper over it - confirm on Absher or with your driving school before you book.

Reported figures range from SAR 115 for the computer test alone to SAR 200-400 for test plus licence, to SAR 500 described as an application fee. These are different things presented as if they were the same. Your school will give you the figure that applies to your file.

One source describes roughly a two-week wait before retaking, and the full fee applies again with no reduced retest rate. No source gives a firm attempt limit - the number allowed and the gap between attempts are set by Moroor.

Same bank, different format. The free tests are timed and marked on screen. The pack is every question as printable papers with explanations, which is what works for revising away from a desk.

Yes - a motorcycle paper and a truck and bus paper alongside the light-vehicle papers.

No. The live bank is not published. These are written to the same format and syllabus - useful rehearsal, not a leaked paper.

Being straight with you

  • We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice. Where a case needs one, the pack says so and says at what point.
  • We are not a government authority and have no influence over one. Nothing in here changes a decision that has already been made. It tells you which door the decision came from and what that door accepts.
  • Checking your own status is free. The official portals are linked throughout and they cost nothing. What you are paying for is knowing what to do with the answer, not access to it.
  • GCC fees and thresholds move without notice. Everything here is dated and attributed so you can tell how old it is. Confirm the current figure with the authority before you pay anything.
  • If a figure is wrong, tell us. Send it through and we will check it against the authority and correct the pack. Your download link always serves the current version, so a correction reaches you without you asking.

Where these figures come from

No GCC traffic authority publishes a fee schedule or a question bank you can check, so every number on this page is sourced to where we found it and dated. Where we could not source one, the row says so rather than repeating a figure from a site that cannot source it either.
