Oman Driving Test Questions PDF (ROP)
Oman's signal and sign questions are what people search for most, and the ROP scores thirteen separate areas on the road test that follows. Both are covered.
Card checkout is being set up. Ask here and we send it directly, usually the same day.
What is riding on this test
This pack costs AED 39. A fail costs the fee again and the wait to rebook — what a fail actually costs.
Why this pack for Oman
- Road signs and signals are the highest-volume Oman search topic, so the pack leads with a printable sheet.
- The ROP marks thirteen scored areas including the side-lane rule most guides skip.
- Minor lapses can disqualify, so the explanations set out what the examiner is actually watching.
Three questions from the pack
Exactly as they appear. Answer one and see the reason. Every one of the 485 questions is written to this standard.
What does this sign mean and what must you do?
Pick an answer to see the reason.
You approach this sign at a quiet junction and no other traffic is visible. What should you do?

The honest weak spot. The real test shows signs as pictures. This bank pictures 18 distinct signs, and its printable sheet carries those 18, not ROP's full catalogue. If signs are your weak area, learn them from the official handbook as well; the rules, priority and penalties questions are where this pack is strongest.
Which language do you want it in?
The pack is the same questions in every language. Pick the one you want and that is the PDF you get.
Royal Oman Police (ROP) sets the real paper in English. So this pack is in the language you will actually sit the test in.

Road-sign reference sheet
The 18 signs pictured in the bank on one printable page, captions separated so you can test yourself. It is not the authority's full sign catalogue - see what the bank covers, below.
15 exam-length papers
Each paper is 30 questions, the real length, with a topic mix that matches the live paper rather than running all the signs first.
Marked answer key
The correct answer, why it is correct, and the rule it comes from - for every question, not a letter grid.
The questions people get wrong
The hardest items in the bank, marked and explained. The section to read the night before.
Topic revision bank
Everything not used in a paper, grouped by topic, answers marked - for fixing one weak area.
The ROP signals test
Oman's theory exam is 30 questions in 25 minutes with 23 correct to pass - a 75% pass mark. Like Qatar's it is signals-led, and it is run by the Royal Oman Police rather than a separate transport authority, which is the thing newcomers most often get wrong when looking for where to book.
Twenty-five minutes for thirty questions is fifty seconds each - slightly more room than Qatar gives you, and still not enough to work out an unfamiliar sign from first principles.
Every figure on this page is dated and sourced. Where third-party sites disagree - and on these tests they disagree constantly - we say so rather than picking the number that suits us. Confirm against the authority before you pay.
Car, motorcycle or truck - why it is one pack and not three
The Oman Driving Theory (Signals) Test is mostly the same exam whoever you are. Of the 485 questions in this bank, 345 are the shared road-signs and rules material every candidate sits - signs, right of way, traffic rules, penalties and safety. Only 70 are motorcycle-specific and 70 are heavy-vehicle specific.
That is why we do not sell a motorcycle pack or a truck pack separately. A 70-question motorcycle-only product would leave you unprepared for the 345 questions that make up most of the paper you will actually sit, and selling you that would be taking your money for something designed to fail you.
One pack, all three tracks. If you are riding, the motorcycle paper is your supplement and the rest is your exam. If you are going for a truck or bus licence, the same applies in reverse.
What is in the Oman pack
485 questions as printable papers with a separate answer section for each, sized to the real 30-question exam. Light vehicle, motorcycle and truck-and-bus papers, with an explanation on every answer.
What a fail actually costs
- Per attempt
- Around OMR 25 for the test, with OMR 20 for licence issuance on top
- If you fail
- We have not found a published retest figure for Oman, and we are not inventing one. The ROP sets the terms; your driving school will tell you what a retake costs and how soon you can book it.
- Source
- autoviatest.com, October 2026 - the only source found
- Where sources disagree
- No second source was available to cross-check the OMR 25 figure, which is why it is stated as approximate.

Frequently asked
485 questions, every one with the correct answer, an explanation and the rule it comes from. They are arranged as 15 exam-length papers of 30 questions each, plus a topic-by-topic revision bank for everything left over.
No, and you should be wary of anyone who claims to sell one. Royal Oman Police (ROP) does not publish its live bank. These are original practice questions written from the published traffic rules and the standard GCC road signs, which is how every legitimate practice resource works. The format, pass mark and fees are set by Royal Oman Police (ROP) and can change - confirm before you book.
The practice tests at /driving-test/oman are free, complete and stay that way. The pack is the offline version: one printable document with exam-length papers, a marked answer key you can read away from a screen, a road-sign sheet you can pin up, and a revision bank grouped by topic. If you revise on paper, or you want to work without data, that is what you are paying for.
23 of 30 correct, which is 75%. You get about 25 minutes. Every paper in the pack is marked against that same threshold, so a score in the pack means the same thing as a score in the test.
Pick the language on this page and that is the PDF you get: English, Arabic. Royal Oman Police (ROP) sets the written paper in English, Arabic, so the pack is in the language you will actually sit the test in. The options available are set by Royal Oman Police (ROP) and by your test centre - confirm when you book.

30 questions in 25 minutes with 23 correct to pass - a 75% pass mark. Verified July 2026. It is a signals-led paper, like Qatar's.

Around OMR 25 for the test with OMR 20 for licence issuance on top, from the only source we could find. We could not cross-check it against a second source, which is why we state it as approximate rather than as fact.

Who made this, and what it is not
- Who wrote it
- The Wathim GCC Services Desk, the same desk that files these cases for clients.
- What it is built from
- 4 of our own published guides on this topic, plus 1 outside source listed below with what each one was used for.
- When it was last checked
- July 2026. Every figure carries its own date and source.
Being straight with you
- We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice. Where a case needs one, the pack says so and says at what point.
- We are not a government authority and have no influence over one. Nothing in here changes a decision that has already been made. It tells you which door the decision came from and what that door accepts.
- Checking your own status is free. The official portals are linked throughout and they cost nothing. What you are paying for is knowing what to do with the answer, not access to it.
- GCC fees and thresholds move without notice. Everything here is dated and attributed so you can tell how old it is. Confirm the current figure with the authority before you pay anything.
- If a figure is wrong, tell us. Send it through and we will check it against the authority and correct the pack. Your download link always serves the current version, so a correction reaches you without you asking.
Where these figures come from
No GCC traffic authority publishes a fee schedule or a question bank you can check, so every number on this page is sourced to where we found it and dated. Where we could not source one, the row says so rather than repeating a figure from a site that cannot source it either.
