The Istimara is your vehicle registration card, issued by the General Directorate of Traffic. Standard private registration is valid for twelve months and must be renewed, which requires a valid technical inspection and insurance first.

Almost always because the technical inspection or the insurance is not valid at the moment you attempt the renewal. Both must be in place and recorded before the transaction will complete. Unpaid violations can also block it.

The signals test is Qatar's theory examination, covering road signs, signals and traffic rules. It is administered by approved driving schools under GDT standards and is the first real filter in the licensing process.
