Why this pack for Qatar

  • The paper is reported as 40 questions with 37 to pass, so only three mistakes are allowed (one site says 36). The pack covers the full bank, so the exact count does not change what you need to know.
  • Roundabout hesitation is the most cited failure cause in Qatar, so right-of-way is drilled hardest here.
  • Karwa and the other approved schools teach to the GDT standard this bank follows.

Three questions from the pack

Exactly as they appear. Answer one and see the reason. Every one of the 477 questions is written to this standard.

The rest describe the sign in words. Read the note below.

The honest weak spot. The real test shows signs as pictures. This bank pictures 14 distinct signs, and its printable sheet carries those 14, not MOI Qatar's full catalogue. If signs are your weak area, learn them from the official handbook as well; the rules, priority and penalties questions are where this pack is strongest.

Which language do you want it in?

The pack is the same questions in every language. Pick the one you want and that is the PDF you get.

General Directorate of Traffic (MOI) sets the real paper in English. So this pack is in the language you will actually sit the test in.

What is inside

01

Exam briefing

What General Directorate of Traffic (MOI) actually sets: question count, pass mark, time limit, languages and how booking works.

02

Road-sign reference sheet

The 14 signs pictured in the bank on one printable page, captions separated so you can test yourself. It is not the authority's full sign catalogue - see what the bank covers, below.

03

10 exam-length papers

Each paper is 40 questions, the real length, with a topic mix that matches the live paper rather than running all the signs first.

04

Marked answer key

The correct answer, why it is correct, and the rule it comes from - for every question, not a letter grid.

05

The questions people get wrong

The hardest items in the bank, marked and explained. The section to read the night before.

06

Topic revision bank

Everything not used in a paper, grouped by topic, answers marked - for fixing one weak area.

What the Qatar signals test actually is

Qatar's theory exam is widely called the signals test, and road signs and signals carry the paper. It is reported as 40 questions with 37 correct needed to pass, a 92.5% pass mark that leaves room for only three wrong answers (marhaba.qa, August 2026; dohaguides.com, November 2025). No Ministry of Interior page publishes the format, and one third-party site gives 36 of 40.

The time limit is not confirmed. One site reports 35 minutes, a little over 50 seconds a question, and that is what our mocks use. That is not long enough to reason your way through a sign you have never seen, which is the single reason sign recognition has to be automatic before you sit down rather than something you work out in the room.

It is run by the General Directorate of Traffic under the Ministry of Interior, and sat at an approved driving school rather than a government counter.

Every figure on this page is dated and sourced. Where third-party sites disagree - and on these tests they disagree constantly - we say so rather than picking the number that suits us. Confirm against the authority before you pay.

Car, motorcycle or truck - why it is one pack and not three

The Qatar Driving Theory (Signals) Test is mostly the same exam whoever you are. Of the 477 questions in this bank, 337 are the shared road-signs and rules material every candidate sits - signs, right of way, traffic rules, penalties and safety. Only 70 are motorcycle-specific and 70 are heavy-vehicle specific.

That is why we do not sell a motorcycle pack or a truck pack separately. A 70-question motorcycle-only product would leave you unprepared for the 337 questions that make up most of the paper you will actually sit, and selling you that would be taking your money for something designed to fail you.

One pack, all three tracks. If you are riding, the motorcycle paper is your supplement and the rest is your exam. If you are going for a truck or bus licence, the same applies in reverse.

Why a printable pack rather than another app

More people search for a Qatar theory test questions PDF than for any other form of this material, and the reason is practical rather than nostalgic. A PDF works on a phone with no signal, prints, and does not need an account - and a great many candidates are revising in a labour accommodation, on a bus, or in the half hour before a shift.

It is also the format a driving school will let you bring in. An app on a phone is a phone; a printed paper is revision.

What is in the Qatar pack

477 questions laid out as printable timed papers with a separate answer section for each, so a paper is a rehearsal rather than a quiz. Light vehicle, motorcycle and truck-and-bus papers are all included.

Every answer has an explanation. On a signals paper that is the whole point: knowing a sign means 'no overtaking' is not the same as telling it apart from the three similar circles it sits beside in the bank.

What a fail actually costs

Per attempt
QAR 50 per test attempt
If you fail
QAR 50 again. Qatar charges for the retest at the same rate as the first attempt, and there is no fee when you pass. The cost of failing is therefore low in money and high in time - rebooking and the wait are what hurt.

Where sources disagree
Figures of QAR 3,000-5,000 appear online for 'the Qatar driving test'. Those are totals including a driving school, not the Ministry of Interior test fee.

These are original practice questions to help you revise. They are not the official Qatar exam and the real question bank, format, fees and pass mark are set by the General Directorate of Traffic (Ministry of Interior) and the driving schools, and can change. Always confirm the current requirements with your driving school or the traffic department (for example via the Metrash service).

Frequently asked

477 questions, every one with the correct answer, an explanation and the rule it comes from. They are arranged as 10 exam-length papers of 40 questions each, plus a topic-by-topic revision bank for everything left over.

No, and you should be wary of anyone who claims to sell one. General Directorate of Traffic (MOI) does not publish its live bank. These are original practice questions written from the published traffic rules and the standard GCC road signs, which is how every legitimate practice resource works. The format, pass mark and fees are set by General Directorate of Traffic (MOI) and can change - confirm before you book.

The practice tests at /driving-test/qatar are free, complete and stay that way. The pack is the offline version: one printable document with exam-length papers, a marked answer key you can read away from a screen, a road-sign sheet you can pin up, and a revision bank grouped by topic. If you revise on paper, or you want to work without data, that is what you are paying for.

37 of 40 correct, which is 92.5%. You get about 35 minutes. Every paper in the pack is marked against that same threshold, so a score in the pack means the same thing as a score in the test.

Pick the language on this page and that is the PDF you get: English, Arabic. General Directorate of Traffic (MOI) sets the written paper in English, Arabic, so the pack is in the language you will actually sit the test in. The options available are set by General Directorate of Traffic (MOI) and by your test centre - confirm when you book.

Card checkout is not live yet. Ask for the pack through the contact form or email info@wathim.com and we will send it to you directly, usually the same day. The price is AED 39.

40 questions, with 37 correct needed to pass: a 92.5% pass mark, so at most three mistakes. That is the format reported by marhaba.qa (August 2026), dohaguides.com (November 2025) and propertyfinder.qa; autoviatest.com says 36 of 40, and no Ministry of Interior page publishes it. The time limit is not confirmed. It is often called the signals test because road signs and signals dominate the paper.

The Ministry of Interior fee is QAR 50 per attempt, and a retest after a failure is QAR 50 again. There is no fee when you pass. Figures of QAR 3,000-5,000 that appear online are totals including driving school, not the test fee.

There is a lot of material advertised as free, and most of it is a scraped list of questions with no explanations, no paper structure and no indication of when it was checked. Our free practice tests are genuinely free and marked on screen. The pack is the whole bank, printable, with an explanation on every answer.

Same question bank, different format. Free tests are timed and marked online, one at a time. The pack is every question as printable papers with explanations - for revising offline, which is how most people actually prepare here.

Yes. Light vehicle papers, plus a motorcycle paper and a truck and bus paper, in the same document.

No. The General Directorate of Traffic does not publish its live bank, and anyone selling you 'the real Qatar paper' is not being straight with you. These are written to the reported format and pass mark and to the same syllabus, which is what makes them useful rehearsal.

Arabic and English are the confirmed options. Some driving schools say other languages such as Urdu are offered, but we could not confirm it, so ask your school. The pack is in English.

With only three wrong answers of margin on the reported format, the useful measure is not hours but whether you can sit a full 40-question mock and clear 37 without hesitating on signs. If you can do that twice in a row, book.

Being straight with you

  • We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice. Where a case needs one, the pack says so and says at what point.
  • We are not a government authority and have no influence over one. Nothing in here changes a decision that has already been made. It tells you which door the decision came from and what that door accepts.
  • Checking your own status is free. The official portals are linked throughout and they cost nothing. What you are paying for is knowing what to do with the answer, not access to it.
  • GCC fees and thresholds move without notice. Everything here is dated and attributed so you can tell how old it is. Confirm the current figure with the authority before you pay anything.
  • If a figure is wrong, tell us. Send it through and we will check it against the authority and correct the pack. Your download link always serves the current version, so a correction reaches you without you asking.

Where these figures come from

No GCC traffic authority publishes a fee schedule or a question bank you can check, so every number on this page is sourced to where we found it and dated. Where we could not source one, the row says so rather than repeating a figure from a site that cannot source it either.

  1. qatarliving.com, October 2026

Used for: the QAR 50 Ministry of Interior fee per test attempt

  2. marhaba.qa, October 2026

Used for: confirmation that a retest after a failure is charged QAR 50, and that passing carries no fee

  3. marhaba.qa, August 2026, and dohaguides.com, November 2025

Used for: the reported format: 40 questions, 37 correct to pass (at most three errors). No Ministry of Interior publication of the format was found; autoviatest.com gives 36 of 40 and a 35-minute limit, which is unconfirmed
